On April 15th, Cargo Services were faced with a mighty challenge of arranging 2 Heavy Lift pieces of machinery in Cardiff aboard the coaster "MV Novatrans". Both pieces of machinery weighed over 55 tones and had to be in Southampton by Friday 17th April in order to be transferred to the mother ship " MV Hyundai Speed" bound for Korea. This meant starting work on the "MV Novatrans" at 1930hrs on Wednesday 15th April and working right through the night loading and securing the two highly expensive pieces of project cargo. Operations were finally completed at 0300hrson Thursday to enable the coaster vessel to sail at 0530hrs the same morning. Everything went to plan and the whole operation was competed safely and incident free to the delight of the Shippers.
